UTILITY GROUPS
CAREC is working groups are where utility professionals from across the region come together to tackle shared challenges, exchange proven solutions, and co-create tools that strengthen our energy systems.
Why get involved?
The Utility-Member-Only Working Groups are built to deliver real, actionable value to your utility. They provide a trusted space to:
Work through technical and operational challenges with peers who understand your context
Share practical insights — and learn from others’ hard-earned experience
Develop tools, templates, and playbooks you can immediately apply
Align your internal teams before entering wider policy, regulatory, or donor discussions
Data-Driven Standards
From outage response protocols and procurement frameworks to IT standards and emergency planning guides, the outputs from these groups are shaped by real needs and ready for implementation.
And while you’re gaining that value, you’re also fueling something bigger. CARILEC — as a small, regionally-focused team — depends on the lived experience of its utility members to shape meaningful training, tools, and standards that work in practice, not just on paper.
These groups aren’t designed to exclude — they’re here to equip. By focusing on utility realities first, we help build the clarity, confidence, and capacity needed to engage more powerfully across the regional energy ecosystem.
Whether you’re optimizing a grid, leading digital transformation, or preparing the next generation of clean energy leaders — this is your space. And your seat is waiting.
