GROUPS
Trusted Spaces for Deeper Collaboration
This community was built to connect energy professionals across the Caribbean and island territories—but as the platform grew, we heard a clear message: CARILEC’s Members wanted more focused, trusted spaces to dive deeper on topics.
In direct response to member feedback, CAREC facilitates groups to support:
Candid collaboration among peers
Focused discussions on shared challenges and interests
Co-creation of solutions, tools, and policies tailored to island energy systems
Two Types of Groups
Utility-Only Working Groups
Private spaces for verified utility professionals to collaborate on planning, operations, resilience, and regulation in a confidential environment.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Open to non-utility stakeholders—vendors, researchers/students, funders, and strategic partners—focused on driving innovation, investment, and regional collaboration.
Groups Go Deep. The Forum Connects
While groups are designed to build depth, feedback, and trust, the main discussion forum is where the entire community connects across roles and topics. Use your group to develop ideas, and bring them to the forum to:
-
Share solutions
-
Spark region-wide dialogue
-
Inspire cross-sector collaboration
Together, we turn insight into action—across the Caribbean and beyond.
