Join a Special Interest Group

Help us Strengthen the Energy Resilience in the Caribbean

Connect. Collaborate.  Innovate. Lead. CAREC is exploring the development of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to strengthen collaboration, spark innovation, and accelerate progress toward a climate-resilient Caribbean energy sector. These groups would bring together key stakeholders across the energy ecosystem to tackle shared challenges and drive impactful initiatives related to the Electric Utility Industry.

We’re seeking your feedback and ideas to co-create these groups—from defining their focus areas to identifying high-impact activities. The offer is that CAREC’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs)  bring together a variety of energy stakeholders across to co-create resilient and sustainable energy solutions. CAREC wishes to deeply engage our  non-utility membership .

What are Special Interest Groups?

Our CAREC Special Interest Groups targeted platforms for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, industry trends, and solution development. SIGs support learning, networking, and growth—especially for our non-utility members—through content access, project participation, and visibility.

The majority of CARILEC’s membership comprises non-utility members, including Associate and Affiliate members, such as technology providers, academic institutions, development partners, and industry experts. These members bring a wealth of knowledge, innovation, and resources to the table—making them an essential part of the regional energy ecosystem. It is crucial that we leverage the strengths and expertise of this diverse group to create opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and mutual benefit.

As part of our ongoing advocacy and support for our members, we strongly encourage you to get involved, share your voice, contribute your insights, and explore ways your organization can collaborate with others to advance a more resilient and sustainable energy future in the Caribbean.

Your Voice Matters

We’re inviting all CAREC members, partners, and stakeholders to share their insights:

  • What should these groups focus on?

  • How can they add value to your work?

  • Are there other groups or topics we should consider?

Your feedback will help us design SIGs that are practical, inclusive, and impactful.
